Their Story
There are some weddings where the chemistry between the couple and the creative team just clicks. From the moment I met Ben and Julie for their engagement session in October 2024, it felt less like a job and more like hanging out with old friends. We spent that fall day exploring the stunning grounds of the Currahee Club in Toccoa, GA, and by the time their wedding arrived in September 2025, I couldn't wait to get back behind the camera for them.
The wedding day at Currahee was absolutely unforgettable, though it did start with a bit of a thrill. As the outdoor ceremony approached, heavy, dark clouds began to roll in over the mountains. Just as everyone started to hold their breath, a literal miracle happened: the second Julie stepped onto the aisle to walk toward Ben, the clouds parted, and the sun came pouring through. It was one of those rare, breathtaking moments that felt like the universe itself was smiling on their union.
Once the formalities were over, the energy shifted into high gear. To say the reception was a blast would be an understatement. My second shooter, Logan, and I were right in the thick of it, capturing every laugh, jump, and dance move. By the time the night ended, we realized we had taken 5,700 raw photos on the dance floor alone! We didn't want to miss a single second of that magic.
Logan and I still talk about this wedding to this day. Between the incredible weather "save," the heartfelt tears, and a reception that truly didn't want to end, it’s a day we won't soon forget.
